The Client: ARMAF, a UAE Perfume House With a Broad Fragrance Portfolio

ARMAF is one of the leading perfume brands in the UAE, built on a strong commitment to quality, customer service and excellence. Its range covers men's and women's fragrances, with distinctive collections and a wide variety of scents designed to suit different styles and tastes.

That breadth is the brand's strength, and it also shapes how a launch has to work. A new ARMAF perfume does not arrive on an empty shelf. It joins an established family of scents, and it needs its own moment of attention to stand out from the rest of the range.

ARMAF's audience is equally broad. The campaign targeted UAE-based consumers interested in perfume, beauty and self-grooming, across all income levels, speaking both Arabic and English. Instagram is the platform this audience prefers, which made it the natural home for the launch.

For its 2025 launches, ARMAF chose to create that moment in person and then carry it online. The brand worked with Boomerang, an influencer marketing agency in Dubai, to turn three launch events into a creator-led awareness campaign on Instagram.

The Challenge: Launching New Perfumes Audiences Cannot Smell on Screen

ARMAF's brief combined two goals. The campaign had to increase awareness of the brand and showcase its new perfumes to UAE consumers interested in perfume, beauty and self-grooming. Four obstacles shaped the plan.

  • Scent does not travel through a screen. A fragrance is judged by how it smells and how it makes the wearer feel. Social content has to translate that into visuals, reactions and personal stories.
  • Three events had to read as one campaign. Each launch event needed its own coverage, yet four months of content from July to November 2025 still had to tell one consistent ARMAF story.
  • The audience is broad and bilingual. ARMAF's target audience spans all income levels and speaks both Arabic and English, so creators had to feel relevant to many kinds of fragrance buyers.
  • An event only reaches the people in the room. The real value for ARMAF depended on creators carrying each launch to followers who were never there.

The Strategy: Event Experiences, Told Through Creators' Own Content

Boomerang built an awareness-focused campaign around ARMAF's three perfume launch events, with Instagram influencer marketing at its centre. The idea was simple: let creators experience the new perfumes first-hand, then let them share that experience in their own voice.

The strategy rested on three elements: immersive event experiences, authentic influencer content and interactive activations that put the new perfumes in front of the audience.

Phase 1: Three Perfume Launch Events, July to November 2025

The campaign ran as a single brand awareness phase built around the three launch events. Select influencers attended the events, met the new perfumes in person and captured the atmosphere, the products and their own first impressions.

Each event gave the creators new material to work with. That rhythm kept ARMAF's launch visible on Instagram from the first activation on 30 July to the close of the campaign on 24 November 2025.

Influencer Selection: Category Fit Over Follower Count

Boomerang selected seven fashion, lifestyle and beauty creators across micro and macro tiers. Mixing micro vs macro influencers balanced two needs. Macro creators brought scale to each launch, while micro creators brought closer, more conversational relationships with their followers.

Every creator was vetted against four criteria:

  • Audience alignment with UAE consumers interested in perfume, beauty and self-grooming
  • Content style that suits a premium fragrance launch
  • Category relevance across fashion, lifestyle and beauty
  • Overall fit with ARMAF and with the launch events themselves

Fragrance is a personal purchase, and followers tend to trust creators whose taste they already know. That is the same dynamic behind how beauty social media influencers are redefining beauty in the GCC, and it is why category fit came before audience size.

Content Strategy: Reels, Carousels and Stories With Unique Discount Codes

Creators published three Instagram formats, and each one had a different job:

  • Instagram Reels carried the main launch story and delivered the campaign's measured reach.
  • Carousel posts gave room to show the bottles, the collections and the event setting in more detail.
  • Instagram Stories captured the events as they happened and kept ARMAF visible between Reels.

Each creator also received a unique discount code. The codes gave followers a direct reason to try the new perfumes, and they gave ARMAF a way to connect audience interest back to individual creators.

The Execution: 7 Creators, 3 Launch Events, 4 Months on Instagram

Boomerang managed the campaign from start to finish, following our data-led campaign approach. Creator onboarding covered four steps: a campaign briefing, content guidelines, content and event coordination, and scheduling.

That structure meant every creator knew what each event was about, which perfumes to feature and when their content was due. With three events spread over four months, consistent briefing kept each creator's content adding to the same ARMAF launch story rather than competing with it.

Boomerang's team handled the full workflow on ARMAF's behalf: vetting the seven creators, briefing them on each event, coordinating their attendance and content, and scheduling posts around the launch dates. ARMAF could focus on hosting the events while Boomerang managed the creator side.

How We Measured Success

ARMAF's campaign was built for awareness and product showcasing, not direct sales, so the measurement followed that objective. Choosing influencer campaign KPIs that match the goal is what makes a result meaningful. Boomerang tracked three signals:

  • Reel views, the campaign's headline reach metric
  • Total interactions on influencer content, showing how actively audiences responded
  • Unique discount codes, one per creator, linking audience interest to individual creators

What Do 3.38M Reel Views Mean for a Seven-Creator Campaign?

The headline number becomes more useful when it is broken down. Seven creators produced 3.38M Reel views, which works out at roughly 483K views per creator. Across the campaign, audiences interacted about once for every 100 Reel views.

The reported reach also counts Reels only. Carousel posts and Stories were part of every creator's content mix, so the true number of times ARMAF's new perfumes were seen is higher than the headline figure.

Why It Worked: 4 Lessons From the ARMAF Perfume Launch

A small creator roster delivered launch-scale reach

ARMAF did not need dozens of creators to reach millions. Seven carefully vetted creators averaged roughly 483K Reel views each. Choosing creators for category fit and audience alignment, rather than follower count alone, meant every partnership added meaningful reach.

First-hand event experiences gave creators something real to share

Fragrance is hard to sell on screen, so the events did the work a brief cannot. Creators experienced the new perfumes in person, and their content reflected that first-hand impression. We saw the same pattern in our luxury jewellery launch for ZORÁE in the UAE, where attending the launch event produced stronger content than any brief could.

A multi-format mix kept the launch visible for four months

Reels carried reach, Stories covered each event live and carousels gave the products room to be seen in detail. Spreading three formats across three events kept ARMAF present on Instagram for four months instead of a single launch week.

Unique discount codes built a path from awareness to trial

Awareness campaigns often stop at views. Giving each creator a unique discount code added a next step for interested followers and a way to see which creators sparked action. Even in a campaign judged on reach, that tracking layer turns influencer content into something ARMAF can learn from and scale.

What's Next for ARMAF's Perfume Influencer Marketing in the UAE

The 2025 launch events proved that creator-led event coverage can introduce new perfumes at scale. Three steps would build on that result.

  1. Report discount-code redemptions alongside reach. Each creator already had a unique code. Adding redemption data to the next report would show which creators drove trial, not just views. It would also give ARMAF a clear basis for deciding which partnerships to renew.
  2. Keep the strongest creators between launches. An always-on fragrance programme with the best-performing creators would keep ARMAF visible between events and build familiarity with each new scent. Repeat appearances also make a creator's recommendation more believable to their followers.
  3. Track every format, per event and per creator. Measuring Stories and carousel reach, and splitting results by event, would show the full reach of each launch and which event format worked best. With that data, ARMAF could plan its next launch season around the events and creators that performed most strongly
